The Legislature is currently in Conference Committee where the House and Senate negotiate any bills they have disagreements with. The final decking deadline for non-fiscal bills was April 27 and April 28 for fiscal-bills. The session adjourns on May 4, 2017.
HB1418 SD1
Relating to National Flood Insurance Program compliance has been transmitted to the Governor's desk.
HB50, HB3, SB2
Conference will resume April 24. This Bill will allow the establisment of Appraisal Management Company in Hawai'i.
HB606, HD2, SD2, CD1 Authorizes the counties, through their employees or authorized agents, to enter private property to control or eradicate invasive species and pests.
SB704, SD2, HD2 Conference will resume on April 24. This Bill has replaced HB1741 as the vehicle for a
llowing transient accommodations brokers to register as tax collection agents to collect and remit general excise and transient accommodations taxes on behalf of operators and plan managers.
HB1244, HD1, SB2, CD1
Requires upgrade, conversion, or sewer connection of all cesspools in the State before 2050 unless exempted. Broadens eligibility criteria for tax credit to offset costs. Requires the Department of Health to investigate existing cesspools, assess incentive programs, and report to the Legislature.
