This month we talked about the importance of stretching and how if you aren’t stretching your muscles regularly, they become tight and start to pull on the joints, causing pain and injury. Our bodies are similar to rubber bands, if they aren’t used often, they snap easier. Since we are in the same position most of our days at work, its vital to stretch and loosen up our muscles!
 
We also touched on the important of knowing the difference between over-stretching and discomfort. Stretching should never be painful, but it can get uncomfortable. A good rule of thumb is that if you can breathe through it, its probably ok to stay. If you feel any sharp or shooting pain, I suggest getting out of the stretch or easing up a bit.
