Principal's Message
December 22, 2017
Dear Families and Friends of OLQP:
As we conclude the days of Advent, it is natural to reflect on the year that is coming to its close. 2017 has been interesting, to say the least. It was a year of tragedy and triumph:
  • Hurricane Harvey wreaked havoc and produced devastating flooding in our community
  • Everyday heroes came forward to be the hands of Christ to those in need
  • The Astros won the World Series
  • Snow blanketed our world on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception
During the flood, we gauged the height of the rising water by taking pictures of the statue of Blessed Mother holding Jesus in her arms. It was a beautiful reminder that Mary, the Mother of God, is always present to us, and she always brings us closer to Jesus.
Know that our community keeps you in our daily prayers. From all of us here at the school, wishing you and yours the happiest of Christmases and abundant blessing in the new year...
Thank you for being part of the mission and ministry of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic School.

Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam,
Mrs. Marianne Mechura, M.Ed.
Counting our Blessings...

Student Leadership
