Good Morning Hope-
A "Welcome" Story
On our opening Sunday morning at the new building a car slowed to approach one of the parking team members. As the driver began to lean out of the open window the parking team member smiled and said, "Welcome to Hope!"
The driver, with some hesitance, asked, "Is everybody welcome here?"
And, with a Hope-filled nod and an outstretched hand, the parking team member said, "Yes, everyone is welcome at Hope - we're glad you are here."
I wanted to share this story with you for three reasons
1. People often wonder if they are welcome at church
2. Kind words of welcome are very easy to share
3. You are the welcoming force of the church-never underestimate it.
(As a follow-up...the driver pulled into a parking spot and joined us for worship!)
I am so excited about this new season of ministry as a church. Last weekend so many of you signed up to serve in all of our ministry areas. Many of you signed up to serve in Hospitality - which is awesome because it's a ministry focused on welcoming and helping people. If you missed the sign up to activate your faith we will have cards available this weekend at the Connect, Grow, Serve area.
