Exciting January and February Programs

Shrug off the winter blues and come out to WIL's January and February programs. Connect with fellow WIL members and learn about important issues on immigration and the efforts to improve power and water in Africa.

The first program on January 16th explores the challenges facing Philadelphia's refugee community. Speakers from the Mayor's office, the New Sanctuary Movement and HIAS will lead a lively discussion. Click here to register. Don't forget to bring a friend! 

The second program on February 28th deals with Water and Power in Africa: Issues in Developing both Technical and Human Capacity for Critical Needs. The executive director of Power Up Gambia and Dr. Shannon Marquez responsible for Drexel University's WASH capacity building program will talk about two programs, one water and one solar that have helped communities in Sub Saharan Africa. The travel Committee is meeting January 8th to discuss where WIL travels next. Is it India, Bolivia, service in Puerto Rico?  You can be part of the decision.
