Easter Holiday Waste Service Hours

Residents are advised that there are no changes to waste collection on the Good Friday holiday in Mississauga. 

Check  peelregion.ca/waste - "when does it go" - for your collection date. 

All  Community Recycling Centres (CRCs) are closed Friday, March 30 and Sunday, April 1. They are open on Saturday, March 31 and return to regular hours of operation on Monday, April 2 with the exception of the Bolton location, which re-opens on Tuesday, April 3.

Traffic Calming - Fieldgate Drive & Bough Beeches Blvd.

The City of Mississauga has recently begun implementing physical traffic calming measures in order to address local neighbourhood road safety issues in Mississauga.

A Public Information Centre was held on March 20th for the Fieldgate Drive and Bough Beeches Blvd area north of Burnhamthorpe Rd. and now a Public Information Centre will be held for the same community for the area south of Burnhamthorpe Rd. on  April 16th.

Reimagining the Mall Community Meetings

Residents are invited to participate in a series of community meetings on April 5, 12, 17 or 24 where they can share their ideas, opinions and local knowledge to help shape the future vision of five areas anchored by indoor shopping malls. In partnership with the Region of Peel, Reimagining the Mall will guide the long-term evolution of these into healthier, mixed-use communities.

MiWay Affordable Transit Program

Applications for the MiWay Affordable Transit Program are now open.

This program is a partnership between the Region of Peel and the City of Mississauga that offers a 50% discount on the regular cost of a MiWay PRESTO Monthly Pass to eligible applicants.

Mississauga residents earning an income below the Low Income Measure (LIM) thresholds are eligible to apply for the subsidy by visiting   www.peelregion.ca/affordabletransit. 

Applications will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis.

Nominations are open for the City of Mississauga's 2018 Civic Awards of Recognition until April 30th.  Residents can nominate outstanding individuals, community groups and businesses whose work makes Mississauga a great place to be.
