This newsletter will spotlight our students and alumni, keep you informed on key projects, upcoming events, and opportunities to get involved.

As we work to strengthen our alumni network, and network of supporters, we will be continually looking for meaningful ways to bring the Bates Technical College family together as we celebrate our milestones and plan for our future.

In this newsletter, there are a few upcoming events at which we would love to see you.

On behalf of the college, we look forward to staying connected!

Sincerely,
Sarah Allen

Early Learning Center gets new, safer playground
Grand Re-opening scheduled Tuesday, July 9
The “Field of Dreams” construction work began the week of May 13 , and a playground re-opening ceremony has been scheduled for Tuesday, July 9, at 2:30 p.m.

The project is part of Phase I, which includes installing new, age-appropriate toys that infants, toddlers and preschool children can safely enjoy while replacing the ground surface within the playground, which is currently a combination of cement and rubber chips, with synthetic grass and rubber matting.
By mid-June, this phase will be complete and children will be able to play on an updated playground that is safer and more engaging.

If you plan to attend the grand opening, please contact LeAnn Dreier , 253.680.7160.

Phase II of the project is still in the fundraising phase, and will include the installation of a permanent covering for the playground, which will shield the weather and allow for more enjoyable play year-round.
