Join us tonight for EMS ISD's first districtwide STEM Showcase at the Hollenstein Career and Technology Center. This community event is a come-and-go, hands-on format and will feature students grades PreK-12 showcasing a variety of the f un and engaging STEM projects and activities that we see everyday in our district such as humanoid robots, rockets, drones, and Discovery MakerSpace carts.

The event is free of charge and open to the entire EMS ISD community from 5:30-7:30 pm. Light refreshments will be provided courtesy of Foresters Financial Services, Inc.

Free Parent Programs: March 29 & April 5

All EMS ISD parents are invited to attend two nights of free programs - a presentation, "Technology's Influence over Children's Beliefs and Behaviors," on March 29; and a screening of a new documentary, "Angst: Raising Awareness Around Anxiety," on April 5. Both events will be held from 6-7:30 pm at the Weldon Hafley Development Center at 616 W. McLeroy Blvd.

Technology's Influence over Children's Beliefs and Behaviors
Presented by Dr. Kathy Koch of Celebrate Kids, Inc.

Do your children complain frequently, get bored quickly, seem ungrateful or argumentative? You're not alone. Technology is powerful and helpful in many ways, but it can also contribute to children's unhealthy beliefs, negative attitudes, immature character, and unwise actions. Learn how technology can impact behavior and practical, realistic things you can do to help your children.  Click here to view the flyer.

Free Special Screening of Documentary, "Angst: Raising Awareness Around Anxiety"

IndieFlix , a leading independent online streaming platform, along with its non-profit arm, the  IndieFlix Foundation , is sparking a global conversation about anxiety through screenings of its new documentary,  " Angst: Raising Awareness Around Anxiety ". EMS ISD is hosting a special screening of the documentary to open dialogue between local families, community leaders, and experts. The event will feature a viewing of the 56-minute film, followed by an informative panel discussion. Click here to learn more.

2018-19 Student Online Registration

It's almost time to register for the 2018-2019 school year!

We have been working diligently to simplify and streamline our online registration process for our families.  EMS ISD is pleased to announce that we have been able to adjust our system to allow for earlier registration for ALL students - current, new, and former students who are returning to EMS ISD. So mark your calendars:

Online registration for ALL students opens April 30!

All current, new, and former students who are returning must register for the 2018-19 school year online. Current and former students will be asked to update required forms and information while new students will complete the full registration packet. Please do not attempt to register or complete new enrollment now or before April 30; the current processes open online right now are for the current school year only. Watch the EMS ISD website for 2018-2019 registration updates coming soon!
