Did You Receive Your Loaves & Fish
Appeal Letter and Envelope?

Our Loaves & Fish appeal has kicked off now in each of the 8 Catholic Parishes. Your Parish Representative on LCCC's Board spoke at each parish's mass and shared how your donations to LCCC is making a difference in the lives of men, women and children as well as in our community. 100% of your donations stay in Livingston County!

Without you, we are not able to serve on the front line combating substance abuse; providing healing through mental health and substance abuse counseling; providing care at Be Our Guest Adult Day for individuals with dementia and other related diseases; assisting low income and home bound seniors with basic needs or rides to medical appointments; aiding children and families in the foster care system; serving disabled adults through Special Ministries and so much more!

Please prayerfully consider your donation today to make a difference in the lives of those most in need! Click the link below to make your donation today -  Thank You ! If you've already made your special donation... Thank You !

Join the Fun! - Volunteer with Special Ministries

Gingerbread Build
December 20th from 6-8pm, Venture Church

Looking for volunteers to help with our Gingerbread house building event! This is a 2-hour event where we match up our participants one on one with a volunteer to build gingerbread houses for our participants to take home and enjoy for the holidays, so we are looking for plenty of volunteers.  Volunteers should plan on arriving around 5:30pm and we will be serving sub sandwiches, chips and cookies for dinner for everyone including volunteers!

Christmas Party
December 21st from 5:30-8pm, St. Mary Magdalen

Volunteers needed to help serve dinner and help us put on a fun filled night for our participants! Santa will be there to pass out presents, we will have a photo booth and music, so it's a fun night for everyone!

Let Amanda Miller know if you can join us!
Volunteers make a difference...

This month we want to commend the students, administration and staff of Parker Middle School and St. Patrick School for their tremendous contributions to the Christmas Blessing Project.

About 750 students and all 70 teachers and staff at Parker Middle School participated in the collection and/or the organizing of the donated items. Parker Middle School does a service project each year.  "This project is what we preach every single day: choose kind because other people matter," said Patricia Poelke, Principal, Parker Middle School.

Mrs. Anita Lutz, a student parent at St. Patrick School, coordinated this event and the children were able to have a dress down day in exchange for a jar of peanut butter or box of cereal. The kids raised 112 boxes of cereal and 109 jars of peanut butter. Another parent shares, "The kids get excited as well not just for the dress down day but to learn what it's all about to give generously."

If you'd like to learn more about how your school or organization can become involved in this wonderful project, please contact Suzi Snyder at 517-546-9910.
Bring Joy to a Homebound Senior!

Looking for ways to maximize your tax savings and charitable giving?

Consider using your IRA.

If you are 70 1/2 yrs of age or older, you can make cash gifts from your IRA to your favorite charity or charities without having to include the IRA distribution in your taxable income. Qualified charitable distributions, also called IRA charitable rollover, allows you to direct part or all of your distribution directly to a charitable organization in an amount up to $100,000 per person per year. The amount of your charitable distribution to a charitable organization is excluded from your gross income and is not subject to taxes. Please discuss this option with your tax or financial adviser prior to making the distribution.
