VOLUME 14 | October 3, 2019
How Your Unit Can Earn a Bonus 2% Commission?

Units can receive a bonus 2% commission if they do not return popcorn to the Cradle of Liberty Council. Come re-balance day on October 26, 2019, you may have product left over. Before you bring that popcorn to re-balance day, ask yourself two questions;

  1. Did I use any left over popcorn to fill part or all of my units final take order? Make sure you do this, so that you can reduce the amount of product you would have to place and pickup with order #3. And eliminate the need to drive to re-balance day.
  2. Would my Unit earn more by returning product at re-balance day? Or keeping what I have left (after answering question 1) and earning the bonus 2% commission?

To calculate the answer to question 2, follow the following steps:

1) Determine your final Unit commission, which is based on the total dollar value of your total order for 2019
  • 0 - $4,999: 30% Commission
  • $5,000 - $9,999: 35% Commission
  • $10,000 +: 40% Commission

2) Add 2% to your Commission level

3) Then multiply your new Commission percentage (if you have no returns) by the total dollar value of your total order for 2019

4) If this amount is greater than the dollar value of the popcorn you would return, then don't return your remaining popcorn and earn more money for your Unit.

You can use this leftover popcorn for your Unit's Popcorn Kickoff in 2020, at your Pack Blue and Gold, Troop Court of Honor..etc. A reminder that units can only return full cases of popcorn this year.
