T ABLE FOR TWO - Change the World with Onigiri - #Onigiri Action
Program Dates: Oct 7 - Nov 20, 2019
TABLE FOR TWO (TBT), a global nonprofit with roots in Japan, addresses the related issues of hunger and obesity through a unique "meal-sharing" program that connects healthy eating with food donations to children in need. This fall, TFT will once again sponsor their World Food Day campaign called #OnigiriAction. Schools are encouraged to take part in this fun, educational, and yummy service activity, featuring the popular Japanese food "onigiri" (rice ball). Students make, decorate, and eat rice balls, and then post pictures of their onigiri enjoyment on the TFT website. Each onigiri photo post brings 5 school meals to children in need. This is a great classroom or school-wide activity that integrates health, culture, art, and community service.
