CoSA INFORMATION SESSION
Tuesday, October 29th, 6 pm
211 Bronson Ave.
CoSA Ottawa is a volunteer-based reintegration program that assists individuals who have been incarcerated for a sexual offense(s) and seek CoSA’s help, voluntarily, in their effort to develop a meaningful, crime-free life in the community. Studies indicate that CoSA helps to reduce re-offense rates by 70% to 80% and, based on the Canadian CoSA model, it now operates in many countries world-wide.

CoSA is looking for volunteers who are able to commit to approx. 2 hours/week for a minimum of one year. This Information Session is open to anyone interested, with no obligation to become a volunteer. If you’re still interested after the Info Session and wish to attend the 16 hour Basic Training that follows, visit CoSA Training for details and dates, or contact Susan.
NEWS FROM THE COMMUNITY THRIFT SHOP

IS RE-STOCKING

WE NEED YOUR HELP!
Following the 10.15 am service is our coffee hour and we really need some more volunteers. Training is provided, you don't have to do it every week, no baking is required, and it is a lovely way to provide hospitality. Ask a friend to join you and sign up as a team! Please contact Gay for more info and to volunteer.
THANK YOU
Thanks to the generosity of St John’s members and their friends, at least $1,000 was raised in support of the Centretown Emergency Food Centre. Thanks also to Henry S. and his family who played an important role in the organization of the walk.
PLEASE NOTE
The church office will be closed on Monday, October 14th for the long weekend.
