20's and 30's Dinner
Friday, September 14, 2018 beginning at 6:00 p.m.
A 20's and 30's dinner will be held at the Rectory on Friday, September 14, 2018 beginning at 6:00 p.m.  Childcare will be provided free of charge in the Gabard Building.  Please plan to join us. 
Stewardship Dinner
Sunday, September 30, 2018 from 6 - 8:30 p.m.
"We Love Christ Church" Stewardship Celebration Dinner will be held on Sunday, September 30, 2018, from 6:00 - 8:30 pm at Turner Center for the Arts(527 N Patterson St). A nursery and dinner will be provided at Christ Church for infants and children from 5:30 - 9:00 p.m in the Gabard Building. RSVP the church office by September 20, 2018.
Noon Service
College Ministry: Noon Sunday Service geared toward college students that the interns will help lead, will be held on September 16, 2018.  These services will be an informal Rite II Eucharist with the same sermon as the 8:00 and 10:00 services and will run on the weekends when VSU is in session, the following Sundays this fall: September 16, 23 and 30; October 14, 21 and 28; November 4, 11, and 18; and December 2.  Even if you are not a college student, you are more than welcome to join us.  Please keep this ministry in your prayers as we seek to receive the grace of God in Jesus Christ and share that grace with college students.

Sunday School Series for Parents
Sunday, September 16, 23 and 30th
Sunday we continue a four-week class for parents, "Gracious Parenting in an Ungracious World" that will be taught by Karen May.  If you are a parent of a child anywhere in age from the cradle to a young teenager, we encourage you to join us on this 4-week journey as we discuss principles that will help our kids navigate through our world and rise above the norm.  The class will begin at 11:15 and run through September 30th.
Adult Sunday School 
Sunday, September 16, 2018 beginning at 11:15 a.m.
Sunday, September 16th we have Adult Sunday School on grace from the 2006 football film We Are Marshall. Adult Sunday School will meet in the Front of the Parish Hall beginning at 11:15 a.m.
Friday Morning Bible Study
Friday, September 21, 2018
Friday Morning Bible Study will begin on Friday, September 21, 2018 from 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. in the Office Chapel. We are studying the Gospel according to John. All are welcome to attend.
Coffee Hour 
During Coffee Hour this Sunday, there will be a table set up as a kids snack table.  Parents, please encourage your children to pick up snacks from this table and proceed to their Sunday School classrooms.
EYC
Wednesdays beginning at 6:45 p.m.
Middle School EYC with Millie Johnson is held on Wednesdays. All 6-8th graders are welcome. It's held every Wednesday in Gabard from 6:45-8:00. Please join us for food, fellowship and lots of games!

High School EYC with Molly Stevenson will be held on Wednesdays in the Gabard building from 6:45 - 8:00 p.m.  All High School students 9-12th grade are welcome.   We have dinner each week as a group, with lots of fun and fellowship.  Please mark your calendars and join us.  High School Students are also welcome to attend the noon Sunday Service.
Lunch Bunch
Saturday, September 15, 2018 beginning at 11:00 
The Christ Church Valdosta Lunch Bunch feeds 120 or more hungry children every first and third Saturday of the month. Workers from the church as well as other members of the community who volunteer gather at 11 a.m. at Christ Church to make peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. They pack them in plastic bags, then brown paper bags with logo stickers together with chips, fruit, juice and other healthy goodies purchased from the Second Harvest Food Bank. Volunteers are welcome.

Would you like to be able to contribute to our Lunch Bunch outreach? We need fruit cups, drink pouches or boxes, and small bags of chips. Thanks for your help!
Tuesday Evening Bible Study
Tuesday, September 18th beginning at 7:30 p.m.
Tuesday Night Bible Study, led by Dr. Willa Valencia, will resume on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at the home of Ron and Tammy Borders (1718 Williams Street), 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome.
Men in Blue - Pinevale Elementary
Thursday, September 20th from 3 - 6 p.m.
The Men in Blue are cooking sausages for Pinevale Elementary School on Thursday, September 20th, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. If your work schedule allows, please come and help us.

Acolyte Training
Saturday, September 29, 2018 beginning at 10:30 a.m.
Nancy Lutsko will be holding an Acolyte Training Class on Saturday, September 29th beginning at 10:30 a.m.  If you are a current acolyte, are interested in becoming an acolyte, or would like to find out more about the acolyte program you are invited to attend this training session.  Lunch will be provided. Please RSVP the church office, or contact Nancy Lutsko.
DOK - New Class
Daughters of the King (D.O.K.) class to begin in late September for any lady interested in joining DOK.  The dates and times of the class will be decided by the members of the class.  If you are interested in joining, please contact Pat Bezona
New Beginnings
November 16-18, 2018 at Honey Creek
Early Registration is now happening for New Beginnings #53 for Youth in grades 7-9.  New Beginnings will be held at Honey Creek, November 16-18, 2018.  Beth Baker can take up to six people in her vehicle. If you need transportation for your child, please contact Beth.   Early Registration is: $115 before November 1st.  If you would like to register your child for New Beginnings, the link is available here
