Since 1902, the Lancaster Chamber of Commerce has existed as a private, voluntary, nonprofit (501(C)(3) and (C)(6) business organization dedicated to improving the economic environment of business growth and prosperity. The business community now serves a greater Antelope Valley Region, with a population of more than 480,000 people.

A Message from the
Chairman of the Board

September is a busy month for the Lancaster Chamber of Commerce. On Monday, September 10 the Lancaster Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Lancaster West Rotary, hosted the first 25th Congressional District debate between Congressman Steve Knight and opponent Katie Hill. Our goal was to inform our members, as well as the public, of where the candidates stand on a number of issues which directly affect our community. I would like to thank Congressman Knight and Katie Hill for spending a few hours with us.
Additionally, this month I would like to recognize the Antelope Valley Press. The AV Press has been a member of the Chamber since 1915! Many things have changed at the AV Press over the years, but one constant has been their support of our organization. Being in business for more than a century is no easy feat, and while the newspaper industry has its challenges, our AV Press continues to support local news, events, and businesses.
While I read my copy of the paper online, there is something to be said about holding a newspaper in your hands -- even if you get a little ink on your fingers. So get your hands a little "inky" and support a fellow chamber member by picking up a copy of the local paper.
