SPECIAL ANNOUCEMENTS
Au Revoir Madame Nathalie!
We are so sorry to see Nathalie Lullier take leave of our community after being the face and glue of the Johnson Campus office. Nathalie has been instrumental to the growth of our school, having served as a Teaching Assistant before moving to the Office Manager position. She also worked with our students on their DELF exam practice thanks to her expertise and certification as a DELF evaluator. We extend Nathalie un grand merci and wish her all the best in her future personal and professional pursuits.

Please join us in welcoming Sarah Franz, the new Office Manager, who brings a host of school and community experiences to the role.
Un Petit Message d'au Revoir from Nathalie.
I just wanted to say Au Revoir as I am going back to France to be near my elderly parents. It was an unforgettable experience to see the Lycée grow and working with such nice and thoughtful colleagues. I will miss the cheerful atmosphere and the layback attitude of y'all. I recently became American citizen, so it's not un Adieu ! Keep in touch on FB or/and come visit me in France!

Warm wishes,

Nathalie

Solicitation for New Board Members
LFNO is seeking to add an LFNO parent to the Board of Directors as now required by BESE. The process for adding a parent Board member will be the same as our existing process for adding any member to the Board, which is included in our Bylaws. We are considering 2 additional policies with regard to parent Board members including a restriction on the total percentage of Board composition that can be filled by parents and a restriction on the executive offices that can be held by parents. We are excited to incorporate LFNO parents on our Board of Directors in the future. If interested, please submit an application via Top Shelf TOP Shelf application .

Time is of the essence as BESE's new policy requires LFNO to have at least one parent Board member by October 2018 . W e plan to host a Nominating committee meeting to evaluate potential parent candidates during the week of September 17, 2018 in advance of our regular Board meeting scheduled for September 24, 2018.

Our primary criteria for parent Board members is the same as for any Board member: objectivity, dedication, and expertise.

CALL FOR MARCHE COMMITTEE VOLUNTEERS
The PTO’s largest fundraiser of the year, Marché d’Hiver, will be held at the Priestley campus on Saturday, December 1. “Marché” is a traditional French style winter market, featuring kid’s games, craft vendors, musical performances by our students, food, drinks and even snow! It’s a great day of fun, for parents, teachers, kids and the community.
Such a big event takes lots of pre-planning and work. We are now putting together our committees to begin preparations. Some of the committees include Sponsorship, Entertainment/Performances, Merchandise Sales, Ticket Sales, Craft Vendors, Kid's Games/Crafts, Food and Beverage, Decor/Event Rental.

Each committee will need several volunteers. If you are interested in being part of the pre-planning and organizing of this event, please email the PTO at pto@lfno.org before Sunday, September 16.
