HPS yearbook - Photo Request
Don't let those photos you took at the class party/field trip/etc just sit on your phone - send them to the yearbook team and you might see them again!!
  • Send all photos to hpsyearbook1@gmail.com
  • Photos should include any school/classroom events; assembles, parties, field trips, sports, presentations, projects, special days, etc etc. The best photos are typically group shots
  • Do NOT compress photos. Send ACTUAL SIZE
  • All photos sent should include grade level(s), homeroom(s) and what the event was (if possible). This helps aid when determining how many photos of each grade level/homeroom/event have been used in the yearbook

Sports Spotlight

WHO ARE WE?
A parent organization dedicated to providing the financial and volunteer support necessary to support the Hyde Park School athletics programs.

OUR GOALS?
To ensure that every student at Hyde Park School has an opportunity to participate in an athletic program. To fund existing, and grow new, athletic programs. To promote the positive spirit of Hyde Park School in the community at large.

WHY JOIN?
Your annual membership of $30.00 will be used to reduce the overall registration cost of athletics programs, fund new programs not currently available, and will ensure our student athletes have the appropriate equipment and facilities to compete effectively.

  • Running Club: The Evening Running Club held their first practice and are off to a fast start. The kids had a blast and did excellent. The After School Running Club starts this week! Thank you for your patience as we organized this new program, we are all excited to start running. If you are able and willing to help with either practice, please contact me directly at HPS.athletics@outlook.com

  • Basketball "Tip Off": Believe it or not, basketball season is around the corner and we are excited! The Booster Club is so excited that they are sponsoring the first ever HPS Basketball Clinic. The Clinic will be a one night event intended to get kids excited for the season, sharpen their basketball skills, and of course, HAVE SOME FUN. The date for the Clinic is Friday, October 5th and will be held in the HPS gym during the evening hours. The Clinic is open to kids in kindergarten through 6th grade, but space is extremely limited. Do not wait to sign-up. Priority registration will open for Booster Club Members on September 12th. General registration for non-members will open on September 14th. Please use Blue Sombrero to register your child. If you would like to help facilitate the Clinic, please contact Jeff McPeek: HPS.boosters@outlook.com.
Cost:
Non-Booster Club Member: $20
Booster Club Member: $10 (and priority registration)

*Head to  hydeparkschoolathletics.org  to sign up to be a Booster Member
*Access Blue Sombrero to register for the Clinic

  • Basketball Season and Registration - SAVE THE DATE: Registration for the basketball regular season will open on September 17th via Blue Sombrero. We will offer an instructional program for K-2 and will attempt to offer competitive teams for 2-6. More details to come soon, but right now we are in desperate need of volunteer coaches. Based on numbers from last year, returning players, and returning coaches we do not have enough volunteers to adequately support all of our teams. WE NEED YOU! You do not need to be a professional basketball player to help out, you simply need to dedicate your time and energy to your kids and their peers. Coaching can be work, but I guarantee you it is rewarding and fun too. It is our goal to grow our overall athletic program, but that can't happen without great (and many) volunteers. If you have any questions about the requirements of coaching, please contact me directly at HPS.athletics@outlook.com.

If you are interested and able to help, please contact Jessica Leimbach today:  HPS.basketball@outlook.com

Please direct any questions to Michael Brugh, Athletic Director
