“Burned Out or Fired Up? Transforming Healthcare from the Inside Out” 

With over 30 years of international disaster experience, Dan knows firsthand what it takes to lead in challenging situations. He is the author of “Beyond Resilience: Trench-Tested Tools To Thrive Under Pressure.” He will create an exciting learning experience by engaging your mind to leave you with practical concepts you will never forget. Dan founded and serves as the director of the nation’s first state-affiliated medical disaster response team. He led one of the first medical teams into Haiti following their devastating earthquake and, most recently, deployed to the Philippines following Typhoon Yolanda. After Hurricane Katrina, he played a strategic role as director of the Mass Casualty Triage Unit at the New Orleans Convention Center.
