SCORE NW Ohio Mentoring New Farmer Initiative

Last January, the Black Swamp Conservancy (www.blackswamp.org), a non-profit land conservancy, approached SCORE NW Ohio to help them organize their planning for a new initiative, which is to pair aspiring new farmers with unused farmland that is under the conservancy's control. The project is at a stage in which the conservancy is now recruiting prospective new farmers for this program. NW Ohio SCORE will have a continued role in the initiative, including mentoring any new farmers that are accepted into the conservancy's program.
