Tax Rate Public Hearing

Your NRH City Council will hold a special meeting on Wednesday, September 5, to conduct a second public hearing on the proposed tax rate for Fiscal Year 2018-2019. The meeting begins at 7 p.m. in the City Council Chamber at City Hall.

The proposed budget for FY 2018-2019 reduces the property tax rate by a half cent to $0.585, while increasing spending for public safety and street maintenance. If approved, this will be the second year in a row the property tax rate has decreased. In 2017, the City Council lowered the tax rate from $0.61 to the current $0.59. You can find additional details about the proposed budget and tax rate and submit input online at  nrhtx.com/budget .
