GENERAL INFO
Lunch Applications
It is important that we have accurate demographic information for our school. Therefore we are asking all parents to fill out a lunch application regardless of whether your child participates in Lycée’s meal service program. If you have not yet, please fill out the application by clicking HERE . Enter “70115” as the zip code and “The Healthy School Collaborative” as the district. Select the correct school code while completing the application:
Patton (347) and Johnson (3471).

For your convenience we will have stations at both campuses during Back to School Night, where you can fill out the application electronically. It will take anywhere from one to five minutes. A staff member will be available to assist if needed. Thank you for assisting in this effort that will great improve services at our school.

First Dads Club Social Gathering of 2018-2019
The LFNO Dads Club will host our first general meeting of the year and annual Steak Night on Wednesday, September 12th at 7pm at the Patton Campus. As always, we'll fire up the grill, welcome old and new friends, enjoy a few cold drinks, and talk about our plans for the year.
La Liaison PTO News
ANNUAL DUES
La Liaison Annual Dues help support the various activities organized by your PTO throughout the year.
Annual dues are $25.00 per family. Dues are not mandatory but encouraged and an easy way to contribute if committing time doesn’t fit your busy schedule. Use the link below to contribute.
UN GRAND MERCI TO OUR DAD'S CLUB!
Big thanks to the Dads Club for making a Buddy Bench for the Johnson Campus! Last year Girl Scout Troop 46071 made a Buddy Bench for the Patton Campus. It has been a great tool used to teach children kindness, inclusion, empathy and community. Now the Johnson Campus has its very own!

The idea is simple. When you are sitting on the bench you are looking for a friend. When you are invited to play you join. If you see someone sitting on the bench you ask them to join you. What a great concept for kids to be included. Share with your kids why the buddy bench is there and new bonds will be formed! This is one of the projects the Dad’s Club took care of this past Saturday at the Johnson Campus. Thank you so much!
Box Tops Program
This year we are trying to make a really big push for the box tops and community coffee labels fundraisers school wide. Box tops are little pink labels that can be found on a variety of different foods and household items and each box top label has a value of 10 cents. When these box tops are turned in, they represent cash donated back to our school.

Other schools our size are raising about $6,000.00 a year from box tops. We raised about $550 last year due to the efforts of parent Darren Beltz. We are trying to give him a big hand this year!

To assist with collecting, we are having a contest that every class will participate in. Each class will have a central spot for turning in box tops and keeping count. Specific collection information will be received through room parents and class coordinators. Classes that turn in 1,500 box tops will receive a popsicle party or hot chocolate party (depending on weather). The class with the most box tops will receive a popcorn movie party at the Patton campus and a pizza party at the Johnson campus.

There will be two collection dates, November 1, and April 1. Box tops can be sent in however any time after September 1.
Box tops can be found on tons of products that are used on a daily basis: https://www.boxtops4education.com/earn/participating-products

Community Coffee Cash for Schools is a similar program, collecting “Proofs of Purchase” from Community products (coffee, tea, sugar, creamer, etc.). These labels will be collected the same way as the box tops and their value is also 10 cents per “Proof of Purchase”.
Get your friends and family to collect box tops with you and keep an eye out for Community Coffee labels at your workplace. What can we do for our school with $6,000.00?
PATTON
Required Headphones for the Computer Lab
Headphones are a required school supply for Kindergarten through 2nd grade students.  In order to complete tasks on their Chromebooks or Ipads in the Computer Lab, students must have headphones. If you have not already done so, please provide a pair of headphones labeled with their FIRST and LAST NAME , ASAP. Merci. Any type of headphones with a standard 3.5mm jack will do (this is the type of jack that plugs in to your smartphone or your laptop) - even earbuds if necessary - but we suggest over-the-ear headphones as they seem more comfortable for students.
Carpool Flow
Lycée requests that parents use the car pick up/drop off line in order to avoid parking in the neighborhood and to bolster our good neighbor policy. Vehicles must enter the school grounds through the entrance on Constance Street and drive through school yard to designated unloading spots.

Please review link for a carpool map: http://www.lfno.org/transportation/
Asbestos Disclaimer
In accordance with AHERA, Asbestos Hazardous Emergency Response Act, a Management Plan has been prepared for each campus and approved by the State Department of Environmental Quality, DEQ. This management plan is available for review in the Principal's Office (for Patton building) and in the Director of Facilities Office (Johnson building) during school hours. A copy of the plan will be made available at the cost of $25.00 (which covers the cost of reproduction).
