Hello Viking Supporters,
Hello Viking Fans,

As we've now transitioned from fall to to winter activities, we recognize
Viking Athletics & Activities are a vital part of the New Berlin West school community. Giving students opportunities outside of the classroom allows real-world skills to be applied in a variety of settings. It teaches students the values of teamwork, accountability, discipline, and perseverance. All of these skills are  transferable  on and off the field which help develop well rounded student-athletes.

Please help support, develop, and promote West Athletics & Activities in and around the school community. Let's all work to continually build Viking pride and passion!

Go Vikings!

Change in Leadership for Girls' Tennis

Viste Retiring after two decades as head coach of Lady Vikings
For the first time in 20 seasons, the New Berlin West Girls Tennis program will be without long time Head Coach Chris Viste on the court. Coach Viste has decided to hang up her coaching shoes to explore other opportunities after spending two decades with the program. Over that time Coach Viste left an invaluable impact on hundreds of young women if have become a part of the tennis program. Throughout the years Coach amassed over 125 victories, coached four different state-qualifiers, and had a banner year in 2015 winning the Woodland Conference Championship for the first time since 1986. While Coach Viste won't be at sidecourt next fall, you'll still catch her in the hallways of New Berlin West or cheering on the Lady Vikings basketball program every Tuesday and Friday in the Fieldhouse. From all of us at New Berlin West past, present, and future. Thank you for your dedication and passion to the student-athletes of this school. You will be missed!

WEST TAP: Holiday play is a success!

New Berlin West Theater Art's Program started off the holiday season with performed a holiday favorite The Best Christmas Pageant Ever a play adapted from the book written by Barbara Robinson in 1971. It tells the story of Imogene, Claude, Ralph, Leroy, Ollie, and Gladys, the six delinquent Herdman children engaged in misfit behavior for their age such as smoking, cussing, drinking jug wine and shoplifting. Discovering the church has snacks, the six go to church for the first time. Despite protests from other church members, they are given roles in the Sunday school's Christmas play.  Hearing the Christmas story for the first time, the Pageant becomes a new rendition seen through the naive eyes of these children. Congratulations to all West TAP on a wonderful holiday performance!
