On the Move August Newsletter - *NEW* Group Excursions!

Summer came and went in a blink of an eye this year and it was largely due to our wonderful clients keeping us so energized and busy! Summer vacations call for plenty of pet sits and our wonderful team was thrilled to spend time with all your furry loved ones. We also had a blast hosting Hair of the Dog - a dog-friendly beer, wine and cider tasting - and loved getting to see some of you there as well!

In addition to our busy schedules, we've been working hard behind the scenes to bring you new services that we know your pets will love! Read more below about our *NEW* Group Excursion offerings and our awesome OTM vehicle which is available to transport your pets safely on our outings and for Pet Taxi services.

Exclusive Group Excursions Starting this Fall!

Love the personalized attention that your pup receives with OTM but looking for additional socialization and opportunities to get out excess energy? We hear you and are excited to announce that we will be launching Group Excursions this Fall! Our exclusive Group Excursions include the following:

Energy Buster: 2.5+ hours of time exploring on hikes and playtime within fenced in areas (on leash when not in a contained area) Plenty of opportunities to get out excess energy!
Personalized: We maintain our commitment to personalized attention by limiting groups to 4 or less dogs. Your pup will never be just a number with OTM!
Eligibility: All dogs are pre-screened to determine if temperament is appropriate for the group setting.
Transportation: No need to arrange for pick up or drop-off - we take care of transportation for you! All pets are transported with the utmost safety in mind via the OTM vehicle.
Safety Standards: We provide certified staff following documented training protocol to evaluate eligibility and ensure safety of all pets while out on the excursion.

Dates and Times of Group Excursions will be announced in advance and will be filled on a first come first serve basis. Space is limited to a maximum of 4 dogs! The first Group Excursion is scheduled for Wednesday, October 15th beginning at 9am. To be eligible to participate in these exclusive walks, your pup must first complete and pass an Excursion Screening with our certified Pack Leader.

Meet Megan & Cheryl!

Fresh to the Rochester area from Southern California, Megan brings with her a zest for the outdoors along with a big love for animals. Growing up she was surrounded by her grandfather's menagerie of birds, chickens, doves, and turkeys! With both the ocean and the desert nearby, she has come to see all animals as her kindred and can be found lingering near any animal, wild or tame, for a quick moment of mutual recognition. Here on assignment as the new Photographer in Resident at the Flower City Arts Center, Megan is ready to connect to the community and have a no-nonsense commitment to getting outside on a regular basis. With a long history of joyful pet-care, both as a pet-owner and pet-sitter, Megan is ready to step in and care for your pets with all her attention and love!

When your furry friend is craving the love and attention it deserves, a Pet Heroine is the only option. Cheryl's talent to entertain a variety of pets is so extraordinary that she has often been referred to as the "Pet Whisperer". Unable to pass up the opportunity to run with the pack, she quickly plunged into employment with On the Move Pet Care, in order to satisfy her hunger to work with her best friends on a daily bases. The moment you meet Cheryl, you quickly realize she possess every stereotypical trait of "The Crazy Animal Lady." For instance: She stops to chat with every animal she sees. She celebrates pets birthdays and gives them Christmas gifts. She refers to herself as her dog's mom. Her dog rides shotgun. She has an on-going selfie collection with pets of all kinds. She's a VIP member at Chewy.com. Of course the list goes on and on but most importantly, a pet's safety and well being are just as important to her as humans! When Cheryl isn't with her wet nosed sloppy kissing friends, she might be found strategizing a corporate identity (her graphic design passion) or laboring over the restoration of her 1920's Georgian colonial home, all while downing a pint of Ben and Jerry's... which is a good thing she's running around with pets all day long!
