Swiss chard at Tarbox
Good morning
At least we hope it is! Yes the weather on Saturday seems iffy-the Market will not close, but some vendors may not make it, depending on location and variability of the storm. Most of our vendors have websites or Facebook pages so just google them up to see if they've posted their availability at the market.
Chase Farms won't be here-Robin is frying donuts at Hammond Tractor in Fairfield and Robin Chase and couldn't get a replacement for her booth.
Caitlin at Appleton has alerted us that bad weather will keep her at home.
Hahns End is due back.
Vendor Sales, specials and news
Amy at Old Narrow Gauge will be out next week so stock up on her pork and smoked meats-some are still on sale!.
Tarbox is bringing in fresh chard and kale, and some pretty salad greens.
|
Soft wool blankets at Meadowcroft
Nanne at Meadowcroft wants you to know that she always has lots of new blankets and some are for sale -these light not at all scratchy and extremely warm in winter yet just right in sumer items are specially nice for wedding and graduation gifts.
|
Ancient grains breakfast muffin from Galley Goodies-please eat warm.
Pemaquid Lobster & Seafood had nice quahogs for .ro/each last week-check to see if there are more! they also have their very popular smoked finnan haddie in the freezer for an end of winter treat.
Check out the ancient grains breakfast muffin at Galley Goodies-aromatic and longing for butter and maybe some raspberry jam from Sparrow Farm.

Lions Mane and Chestnuts star at Oyster Creek Mushroom Co.
Maine Maple Sunday is done but the maple season is till going strong. Stop at Goransons and pick up some of their fresh and fabulous amber delight. And bake the last pot of of winter with it using their ready to go without soaking fresh white or red beans.
|
Make magic with Fresh microgreens from MicroMainea
Judy Hughes at MicroMainea is always working up new mixes of her succulent little shoots-check out the Ferrys Landing, a blend of Russian kale, purple kohlrabi, Kogane, Garnet mustard, purple radish, and red stem radish. It has a lovely izp and lots of flavor-drop a good handful on some fresh crab or clam cakes.
Maple is in the air! Check with Beryl to see if she has any more of that tempting maple cheesecake. If not make do with one of her so popular ginger scones, ginger cakes, or almond cake.

Pearly everlasting at Shepherds and Such, for lungs and inflammatory ailments
At Shepherds and Such, the smudge variety has reached the mid twenties-each with it's own impact or effect. Select several to cleanse the house of winter and welcome the fresh breeze of spring.
At Oyster Creek Mushroom, the Lions Mane are plump and solid and ready to make up a meaty pasta dish; choose some densely brown chestnuts to add wow power to any burger!
At Appleton The kid count is at 40. 29 moms, and 40 more due to deliver! And with all that fresh milk, the lime pepper rounds are back-good news for all. Chevre in olive oil is back as well-yes!- all both arriving this week or next, depending on the weather. Stop and chat with this seasons apprentice-Stefany and Dakota, as well-you'll be seeing a lot of them.
|
Welcome to Stefany & Dakota, now at Appleton
Stop at Pine Tree Poultry for some empanadas-with chorizo or chunks of turkey-quick, delicious and good for you.
