Class Packages on Memoir and Novel Writing
We're excited to announce TWO upcoming three-class packages! The first will focus on memoir writing, and the second will focus on novel writing. Each series will ground you in the essentials of the genre. More details on the classes being offered in each series can be found below.
Each package includes three classes at the normal member rate of $49/class (or $147 total), plus everyone who purchases a class package will receive a
complimentary online class, a $49 value, good for one online class registration between August 27 and December 31, 2018. The memoir package will be available for purchase until September 27, and the novel package will be available until October 4. Each class will also be available for individual purchase.

Book Promotion on a Shoestring Budget

This class will explore a variety of methods for generating book publicity at minimal to no cost. From the pre-publication process to navigating social media as an author, we'll discuss numerous ways to maximize word of mouth before and after publication. The course will also examine how to work with your publisher to receive reviews and other media coverage, smart approaches to organizing a book tour, which promotional efforts are often a waste of time and money, how to establish an online presence as an author, and how to prepare for publication day.
About the instructor
James Tate Hill is the author of
Academy Gothic, winner of the Nilsen Prize for a First Novel. Fiction Editor for the literary journal
Monkeybicycle, his work has appeared in
Literary Hub,
Writer's Digest,
Story Quarterly,
The Texas Review, and
The Laurel Review, among others. Originally from West Virginia, he teaches writing at North Carolina A&T State University in Greensboro, North Carolina.
Registration closes Wednesday, September 26, at 5 p.m. CST. Everyone who registers will have access to the class recording until October 4.

7:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m, starting September 19.
