The library hosts a variety of activities for all ages throughout the year including the Summer reading program, story time, art programs, and others. Did you know Pam and Katie serve as the Camera Ready liaison's for Jasper County?
Each production company has to get a permit to film in the county and it is processed in the Chamber office and then submitted to the Planning and Zoning Office.

Topanga Productions filmed this week in Jasper County on Highway 11 North in the Seven Islands Road area and on Seven Islands Road. Jasper County High School served as their base camp during their two days of filming.
This is a Showtime Drama (comedy) production.

Dexabody Screenings Fall 2018
Saturday, September 5, 2018 ...
8 AM - 6 PM
On Saturday September 8th,
Bulldog Gym will have DexaBody at the gym with their mobile Dexascan unit doing 3 very useful health/fitness tests including a Dexascan, RMR (resting metabolic rate) and V02 Max testing. The price is $47 for the Dexa Scan, $37 for the RMR and $57 for V02 Max. You can see a sample Dexascan report

20 participants are needed - please schedule your appointment
here. Please schedule a 15 minute time slot for each test that you are getting. Payment for the tests are due directly to Dexabody on the day of the screening.

Fall Historical Program

Join us for the Fall Historical Program featuring surveyor, Robert Jordan and photographer, Benny Hawthorne as they describe the past and present Seven Islands Road. The program will also tell the future plans for the Welcome Center at Thomas Persons Hall that bears the famous trail's name as well. This program is free and open to the public.

Join the bridge players for a fun time of games, friends and food as the quarterly Bridge Luncheon convenes on Wednesday, September 5 at 10:00 am. The Primary School Needs You... |

"I can read" are the words that need to be said by the first grade students at Jasper County Primary School. Many of these students are so close to reading on their own, but need to practice reading aloud and gain confidence in reading. This is something you can help them learn to do by just volunteering 40 to 45 minutes a week.
Help is needed from September 10 to November 16 . This is 10 weeks. JCPS Principal Pam Edge, Instructional Coach Jessica Ravenel, and clas
sroom teachers need help to move these students forward. You will be listening to students read books provided by their teachers.
They are trying to make this possible for as many students as they can.
They will be working on the schedule so please let them know what times you can tutor.
