You’re invited to the reveal of the Student Mental Health Strategy for our University of Windsor campus. Please register to join us on October 3 rd , 2018 from 9:30am-12pm in Alumni Auditorium, CAW Student Centre for this half-day conference!

  • Learn about and celebrate the avenues mental health and wellness programs, services, and resources are being integrated into the campus community
  • Ask questions and hear from panellists who worked to develop the Student Mental Health Strategy
  •  Listen to inspirational keynote speaker Candy Palmater (gay, Mi’kmaw actor, writer, comic and activist) about her lived experience with mental health
  • *WIN! Students who attend will be entered to win a Google Chromebook!

Where can I go On Campus for help?
- Peer Support Centre: CAW Rm 291 :  Student volunteers trained in empathetic listening available by walk-in. Open Mon-Fri | 10am-8pm
-   Student Counselling Centre: CAW Rm 293 | Ext. 4616 : Professional counselling for students by appointment or by walk-in. Open Mon-Fri | 8:30am-4:30pm
-   Student Health Services: CAW Rm 242 | Ext. 7002 : Healthcare for students provided by a team of physicians and nurses. Open Mon-Fri | 9am-5pm (Fri closed 1-2pm)

What support is available After Hours?
-   Good2Talk: 1-866-925-5454 :  Helpline for Ontario post-secondary students. 
-   Big White Wall: www.bigwhitewall.ca Online community of members with shared experiences, monitored by clinical professionals.
-   Keep.me SAFE: Download the App “My SSP” App :Text or call counsellors in over 30 different languages (For international and exchange students only).

What do I do in case of an  Emergency ?
-  Community Crisis Line: 519-973-4435:  Crisis intervention provided by professional crisis workers.
-   Or for any emergencies on campus, contact:  Campus Police 519-253-3000 ext. 4444 or call 911. Check out the new "Safe Lancer" App!
