Director's Note

Welcome back! We hope you had a fantastic August break.  We are thrilled to have our students return tomorrow, filling the school with energy and excitement. We are looking forward to spending time with you at "Back to School Night" on September 12th.

Please note the PTA September dates below. We hope you will be able to join us for the PTA meeting and special movie night. 

Make sure to scroll down to watch a new video produced by PAHO (Pan American Health Organization), one of Ivymount's School to Work partners, about t he ir role as an internship site and the value it has brought not only to our students but also the PAHO community.

Registration continues for our Ivymount Outreach fall Recreation and Educational & Therapeutic Group Programs. Please register by  September 7th. Check out additional details below.

Thanks to all who continue to support our student businesses. 

These programs provide opportunities for students to gain work experience and an avenue to practice purchasing skills in a simulated store environment. Plus, they are great breakfast and lunch options for all!

R egistration is open for 
our fall session. 

Outreach has added two new courses for adolescents:
PEERS®  &  Self Advocacy.



All of our programs are led by 
well-trained and enthusiastic Ivymount and Maddux 
current and former staff members.

Ivy Barkery, a student-run business,  makes and sells delicious, healthy dog biscuits. 

Each package costs $5  and includes either 
six large or 12 small dog biscuits.





We are pleased to offer natural 
honey oatmeal soap handcrafted 
by  Ivymount Post High School students. 

 Individual bars of soap are $4 each
and packs of three bars of soap cost $10.

 

We are excited to announce that Tony Kornheiser, co-host of ESPN'S Pardon the Interruption and legendary sports columnist and podcast radio host, will attend the gala. Kornheiser will be joined by Abbe Lowell, renowned defense attorney and recurring guest on 
The Tony Kornheiser Show podcast, 
for a special "Inside the Studio" interview.

The Ivymount Investing in Excellence Fund  in honor of Jan Wintrol.
 
Jan Wintrol, former Ivymount CEO, will be honored at the Gala for her extraordinary contributions to the school community and to the education and well-being of the exceptional children and young adults it serves. Ivymount is thankful for the foundation she built and is committed to honoring her legacy.
