We will soon be saying farewell to a dedicated and valued member of our school staff. Diane Crawford, who has served as our school's business manager for the past seventeen years has decided to explore new horizons. During her time with us, Diane has blended her strong business acumen, analytical skills, and attention to detail with a true love and care for the well-being of our students, their families, and the staff at St. Rose.

 

Diane is amazing in a crisis situation as was evident last October when our school campus was seriously damaged during the Tubbs Fire. She worked non-stop for months on end to facilitate our move to a temporary campus, manage the various supply needs, interface with our building contractors and insurance company, and support school families and staff that had lost their homes as well as their school. When in doubt, Diane relies on both her common sense and her compassion. I truly do not know how we could have gotten through the disaster without her.

 

We have been fortunate to find a seasoned finance/business professional named Anne Devlin to fill the position. Anne is looking forward to living in Sonoma County and will be working closely with Diane as she transitions into the St. Rose Business Manager position over the next few weeks. We are also welcoming two other new staff members to St. Rose. Araceli Zapien recently began serving as our third grade teacher aide and will also be helping Epicurean with serving hot lunch. John Walz is our new Facilities/Maintenance Technician. John is well-versed in all aspects of the care and maintenance of large buildings. He is already using his skills to ensure that our newly renovated classrooms stay in tip-top condition.

 

Our new HVAC system is now operational even though we have not yet had the need for air-conditioning. The new lunch structure should be usable in a week or so.
