AWC's General Meeting - September 10

Please join us on September 10th for our monthly general meeting. The meeting starts at 11:15; if you like please come around 11:00 to visit with each other before the meeting begins. 

The Home Life CSP is responsible for the program for the meeting. The speaker will be Jo Roberson Edwards, President/CEO, founder and Executive Director of Camp Village, Inc. and C.A.U.S.E (Causes All United to Serve and Empower) for Elegance retail store. Camp Village is a non-profit summer camp and after school program.The C.A.U.S.E. For Elegance retail store at Phipps Plaza serves as the junior apprenticeship arm of Camp Village. Participants at the store learn to create financial independence through developing their own products and services and writing business plans, and they receive hands on experience operating a business.  All funds raised through product sales go towards the Camp Village Scholarship Fund for needy campers. Come to the meeting to learn more about Camp Village Arts, Film and Entertainment Academy and about C.A.U.S.E. for Elegance.

RSVPS: Our catering numbers are based upon your RSVP, therefore your RSVP is your commitment to attend. AWC will prepay for your meal. Member cost with RSVP by September 6th is $15; otherwise cost for members is $20. Cost for guests is $20. Cancellations also must be made by September 6th; otherwise we ask that you kindly pay since your RSVP was included in the count for the caterer.  As always, you are welcome to pay at the door by cash or check.  If you choose to pay by credit card, you can do so by signing in to our website: www.atlwc.org.  Please click on the verbiage for the September 10th event and follow the prompts. Or, click on the "Contact Us" button in the top right and then a button will show in the middle right hand side where you may pay for your lunch.

PARKING INFO: 

For those that need to be close to the house, please contact Judy Reece or Karin Holben and they will reserve parking spaces for you.  Remember, these spots are reserved for our older members.  Please allow ample time for parking.

COLONY SQUARE  Located on the NE corner of 14th and Peachtree. 678-733-3883.

 PROSCENIUM  (Laz Parking) Located on the SW corner of 14th and Crescent Ave, call for daily rates, 404-962-9985. 

NEXT DOOR (Parking Company of America) lot south of Wimbish House. Rates:  Monday through Friday 5am - 4pm.   If attendant is not on duty, please pay machine in the middle of the lot.  The machine accepts Visa, MC, and cash. The machine doesn't make change. This lot will shortly not be available.
