New Trier Township Food Pantry - This Sunday
This is our final summer collection as we will return to our regular program-year collection of goods in October.
  • Donate cash to the pantry jar during the service at Maple Street Park so the Pantry staff have reserves to buy what they need when the shelves get low.
  • Bring produce from your garden to Church at the Park. If your garden bounty is more than you can eat, share some produce with those in need!  (Please wash the produce and place root vegetables in re-sealable plastic bags once dry at the request of the Pantry)
Remember, you can also drop off excess garden bounty any time Monday through Wednesday at the New Trier Township Food Pantry, 739 Elm Street, Winnetka (again, please wash the produce and place root vegetables in re-sealable plastic bags once dry). Thank you as always for helping support the ~100 families the Pantry serves each week!
Welcome Back Leslie Hunter
Sunday, September 9
The Reverend Leslie Hunter, Chaplain at Holy Family School, will be with us on Sunday, September 9th to preach at both the 8 & 9:30 services. Leslie has been here frequently in the last few years both preaching and speaking at our Annual Campaign dinner. His combination of original poetry, storytelling, and insight into the Gospel make him a remarkable witness and teacher.

Centering Prayer
The Centering Prayer group will resume meeting on Tuesdays starting September 4, from 2:00-3:00 in the Lea Room of the Church House. Centering Prayer is a Christian method of silent meditation which deepens our experience of God's presence within us and around us and also helps alleviate stress and focus the mind. Please join us for twenty minutes of peaceful meditation followed by discussion and readings about Centering Prayer. Feel free to come occasionally or come every week.

Attention Church School Parents

Now is the time to register children and youth for Church School and family events this coming fall. Here are 3 reasons why:

1. To update our information on allergies and special needs/requests.
2. To get accurate classroom numbers so we can plan accordingly.
3. Because we are super excited to have your children at Christ Church and we can't wait to see who's coming!

This is for all children and youth from the Nursery through 12th grade. Any questions, please contact:
  • Melissa Durbin + Director of Children's Ministries + (847) 309-5834
