New Jersey Coach Connect
December 2017
TopofDoc
From the ICF-NJ President

Happy Holidays!

I hope this note finds each of you well and enjoying this very special time of year.

I am in the process of transitioning off the board and have been reflecting on the past two years of service.

In doing so, a warm feeling of gratitude washes over me. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to be in service to our chapter. I am also grateful for the opportunity to meet so many amazing coaches and grow a deeper bond and connection with the ICF.

At this time, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to my Executive Board members - Samita Loomba, our Treasurer, and Ken Jacobs, our Secretary and Director of Communications. Specifically, I am grateful for Samita's commitment to conduct a thorough audit of all of our financial documents, relationships and procedures, and keep us fiscally healthy.

As for Ken, he developed a much more simple newsletter format and communications plan that has brought us a consistent cadence while also helping to keep our meetings on track and well-documented. Both Samita and Ken will remain in their positions through 2018 and continue to contribute to the chapter's success.

The following board members will be leaving at the end of the year:

Karen Delk, Community Group Director and Elections Chairperson - Under Karen's leadership, we were able to unify and strengthen our community groups, and build two outstanding boards.

Shefali Salwan, Educational Programs Director - Shefali has brought new and different programs to the chapter and introduced the Zoom platform for distance learning with great success.

Sharon Stern, Membership Director - Sharon enrolled and engaged new members while maintaining our overall membership rates.

Finally, Brooke Manino will remain in her role as Technology Director through 2018 and serve as the bridge as the board's transition.

I am grateful to have had the opportunity to serve with each of these professionals and truly have enjoyed their partnership, collaboration and laughter.

I wish each of you all the best for a healthy and happy holiday season, and wish the best of success to the incoming board members.

With gratitude,

Namaste,

Renée Robertson

Call for Presenters for 2018

The ICF-NJ Education and Programs Committee seeks to identify programs and speakers for the 2018 calendar year. The events are held four to six times per year, and will be a mix of in-person presentations and webinars using the Zoom platform. We are particularly interested in presentations that advance the coaching profession and enhance the capabilities of our Chapter members.

To get CCEUs from the ICF we seek to incorporate relevant aspects of the  ICF Core Competencies  and the ICF Code of Ethics, as well as Resource Development to help our coaches in their practices.
Please access the Speaker Application here . We look forward to accessing your talents and passion around advancing the coaching profession in our community.

And please consider sharing this with one of your coaching community contacts who might bring our members value via a presentation.
