Save the date: SaveGirdValley.com meeting
September 18, 6:30 PM

SaveGirdValley.com has reserved the Fallbrook Library's Community Room for Tuesday, September 18, 6:30 to 8:30 PM.  Confirmed speakers now include:
  • Monserate Winery's Jade Work,
  • Mark Jackson of SaveOurCountryside.org,
  • U.S. Marine and Gird Valley neighbor Julian Torres,
  • Environmental attorney Kevin Johnson on CEQA/EIR,
  • Carl DeMaio on the growing coalition Against Measure EE,
  • Teresa Platt and Brad Jordan of SaveGirdValley.com will share an update on the Challenges Facing Gird Valley.
Here are some highlights:
  • Jade Work will update us on the progress being made at Monserate Winery located in the heart of Gird Valley.
  • Learn about SaveGirdValley.com's activism, including its work with the California Environmental Quality Act/Environmental Impact Report (CEQA/EIR) related to a proposal to build a huge high school in Fallbrook's Gird Valley.
  • You may have read recently about the growing coalition against Measure EE in the Village News. The September 18 meeting is your chance to learn more from Carl DeMaio and others. The $38M bond Measure EE which will be on the ballot this November. EE is Attempt #6 to build a high school in Fallbrook's Gird Valley. Don't let the low, low price fool you! Attempt #6/Measure EE is just for Phase I of III so there will be more bonds and more taxes coming! BUSD's 2018 graduating class was only 57 students but Attempt #6/Measure EE is for building a mega school for 1,500 in an inconvenient location, a huge school most District residents won't use, but they'll be taxed for decades to pay for! You need to hear about this!
  • You'll meet candidates for office and volunteers working to better our quality of life in North County and more!
So much going on and you will absolutely want to be there! Please reserve September 18, 6:30 to 8:30 PM, for our  SaveGirdValley.com meeting.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Sincerely,

Teresa Platt
Steering Committee Member
