Run for Education Fundraiser
Celebrate one of the longest running traditions in the San Ramon Valley 

The 35th Anniversary of the Run for Education!
 
This community event supports the education
of all students in the
San Ramon Valley Unified School District.  

The Run for Education includes 
 events for our youngest students ages 2-6,
The  Mini Run !   
And our newest event is the first 
 Friendship Run ,
for our students with special needs and their supporters.  These events take place
on Saturday, October 13th
during our Health & Wellness Expo.
 
Our traditional 10K, 5K timed, and 5K Fun Run
all take place on Sunday, October 14th.  

You can support the Run for Education by signing up to participate or to volunteer! Both options help earn money for your school.  

Special September incentives:  
  • Every registered runner as of 9/30/18 will be entered into a drawing for a $100 value of sponsor gift card(s)
  • Any school who has 100% of 2017 registered runners by 9/30/18 will be entered into a drawing for 100 Pieology or 100 Jamba Gift Cards. (6 winners total:  3 Winners of Pieology & 3 Winners of Jamba Gift Cards).

Box Top$ Contest!
The first Box Tops Contest of school year is starting Now!

Collecting Box Tops is a super easy way to earn funds for our school.  It just takes 3 simple steps to participate.

1.  Cut out Box  Tops from participating products
2.  Glue or tape Box Tops to the collection sheet (sheets were distributed to each class)
3.  Turn in the collection sheet to the Box Tops Collection Box in the front office or to your teacher

Last school year, we raised close to $800 just by submitting Box Tops.  The goal for this school year is $1000, and with everyone's participation, we can definitely reach our goal!

This measure would add family engagement to Priority #3 (Parental Involvement) of the Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF). LCFF Priority 3 calls for all school entities to provide active and meaningful participation and training for all families.
AB 2878 (Chávez) seeks to use research-based guidelines to define what constitutes authentic family engagement within the Education Code.
As school districts implement their own parent involvement activities and programs, AB 2878 (Chávez) would suggest practices such as: outreach in multiple languages, targeting families that are underrepresented in the school and/or school district and include program strategies that are diverse and innovative to reflect a modern student population.
