Celebrate Baby Jones!
On Sunday, September 30th you are invited to attend a potluck and gift card shower for Mike and Mariah Jones following the 10:45 a.m. service (around 11:45). They will be adding baby number four this fall and we want to celebrate with them and bless them. So bring a dish to share (cake will be provided) and if you'd like, bring a gift card to show support. The Jones family often shops at Target and Hy-Vee but feel free to share whatever and however you feel led.

Lawn Care
Thanks to all who have been helping with lawn care this summer. It is a big commitment and the grounds do look very nice as a result. Just a reminder that we do still need volunteers for September and October. The sign-up sheet is in the church lobby. It is a great way to spend a day. Thanks from the Trustees

Get Connected in the Kitchen
Wednesday night children and youth programs will be starting September 12. Youth Pastor Mike Jones has Exit X for youth grades 6-12 and Children's Director Heather Nekola has 380 Kids for elementary school age. As part of our culture of Radical Hospitality, we offer a simple meal at 6:00 p.m. The meals are prepared by teams of volunteers who prepare a meal once a month. We start preparing at 4:00, serve at 6:00 and are usually done with clean up by 7:00 p.m. Please consider being a part of the kitchen crew. It is a great way to make disciples of Jesus, leading by example, and showing hospitality without making a huge commitment. If you would like to be a part of a team or just need more information, contact Carol Crisman or Brenda Swanson.

Coordinating Our Building Use
Are you needing a place at the church for a committee meeting or event? Please note that ALL scheduling of the building's use must be cleared and scheduled through Julie in the church office. This is not a "permission" issue, but we do need this central location for keeping track of the building's activities (we are thankful to be able to host a growing number of Boy and Girl Scouts this year!). Just
drop an email or phone the office (848-7213), so there are no surprises. Thank you!
