Stefano Caselli
Dean of International Affairs, Bocconi University

Stefano Caselli is Full Professor of the Department of Finance at Bocconi University. He is Dean of International Affairs at Bocconi University.

At SDA Bocconi and Bocconi, he covered several roles. He was Academic Director of SDA Bocconi Asia Center from 2012 to 2015. He was Director of Executive Education Custom Program for Banks and Financial Institutions (2006-2012), Academic Director of MSc in Finance (2010-2012), Academic Director of CEMS-MIM (2005-2012) and Director of the Executive Master in Corporate Finance & Banking (2005-2010). He conducted numerous research, training and consulting projects both with the most important financial institutions at European level and corporations for valuation and corporate governance issues.

His research activities focus on the relationship between banking and industrial system, facing issues both of banking credit risk management and of corporate finance and capital structure. His current research activities addresses three main questions: the impact of private equity and venture capital within investment banking activities on companies’ growth and development; the relationship between corporate governance, regulatory issues and performance of financial institutions; the role of taxation incentives and mechanisms on capital structure of corporations in the European landscape.

He is the author of numerous books and articles on the subject. His works have been published in Journal of Financial Intermediation, Journal of Banking and Finance, European Financial Management, Journal of Financial Services Research, Journal of Applied Corporate Finance and Economia & Management, among others. He is member of the board of Directors of SDA Bocconi and he has a long experience as independent director in several boards of corporations and financial institutions as well as advisor of investment committees. He acts as columnist and opinion maker on “L’Economia del Corriere della Sera”, as well as radio and television programs. He is research fellow of BAFFI-CAREFIN (the research centre for financial innovation of Bocconi University), member of the board of directors of ISBM – International School of Business Management, in UK and member of the Strategic Board of CEMS. He won several times the “Bocconi Teaching Award” and the “Bocconi Research Award” in 1997, 2004 and 2011. He is an expert guest speaker in international conferences. He is also the founder and the director of the “Start-up Day” platform for Bocconi since 2015, devoted to facilitate the start-up process for Bocconi students and alumni.

Stefano earned an MSc in Business Administration from the University of Genoa and a Ph.D. in Financial Markets and Institutions from the University of Siena. He is married with two kids.

Jürgen Mahler
Head of Business Development - DECALIA Funds, DECALIA Asset Management SIM SpA

Before joining DECALIA, Mr. Mahler held business development roles at various international asset management firms including Country Head Italy at Oddo Meriten AM, Head of Sales at WestLB AM (Milan), and Deputy General Manager & Sales Director for BNY Mellon AMI (Milan).

Previously he developed his professional career in the Financial Institutions and Corporate Banking sectors at various international banks in Milan.

He graduated with a degree in Business Administration from the Vienna University of Economics and Business.

Luca Solca
Head of Luxury Goods, Exane BNP Paribas

Luca is the Head of Exane’s top rated Luxury Goods team. Before joining Exane, Luca was the Head of Research at Cheuvreux and, prior to that, the lead analyst on Luxury & General Retail at Sanford Bernstein (2005–11); Luca has extensive experience of the Luxury Goods sector, initially as a partner at BCG (he was a consultant in 1991–02) and then as CEO of a publicly traded luxury conglomerate with sales of c.EUR1bn, which he restructured and refinanced between 2002 and 2005. Luca has a summa cum laude MBA from SDA Bocconi in Milan.

Alessandra Viscovi
Legal Manager, Impact SIM

From 2016 Alessandra collaborates with ALTIS, Graduate School of Business and Society, within the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore.

Currently she is Scientific Coordinator and Lecturer of the “Master in Finance: tools, markets and sustainability”. Married and mother of two children, she gained a long experience as a manager in asset management and socially responsible investments. Expert in corporate governance, internal controls and organization, she has directed Etica Sgr for over 10 years and was President of the Forum for Sustainable Finance. She has held positions as independent director in companies in the financial sector. In 2016 she received the prestigious Women Sustainability International Award, aimed at women who have dedicated their activities to the theme of sustainable finance. From April 2018 she works as Legal Manager in Impact SIM.

Lorenzo Piacentini
Senior Sales Manager, Lazard Fund Managers Milan

Lorenzo Piacentini is Chapter Head of CAIA Italy. Lorenzo is a Senior Sales Manager on the Third Party Distribution team at Lazard Fund Managers Milan. He has an investment banking background, having spent more than twenty years holding senior sales positions at Deutsche Bank, Merrill Lynch, Paribas based in London, Madrid and Milan. Prior to joining Lazard, in January 2017, Lorenzo was a Senior Advisor at Global Funds Europe where he was responsible for the promotion and sales of Lazard Frères Gestion funds to wholesale clients in Italy, and prior to that Head of ICG Cash Equity at Deutsche Bank Milan. He has a BSc in Economics from Università degli Studi di Pisa.
