Supporting Academic Excellence
Dr. Corrine Williams , Associate Professor of Health, Behavior & Society, has been named a Provost Faculty Fellow for the 2018-19 academic year. The Faculty Fellows will advise and support UK Student and Academic Life as they work to uphold UK's four pillars of academic excellence.

Alumna Named to State Licensure Board
Dr. Angela T. Dearinger has been appointed by Governor Matt Bevin to serve on the Kentucky State Board of Medical Licensure. Dearinger earned her Master of Public Health with a concentration in Health Services Management from CPH in 2007.

Communication in the Health Sciences
Dr. Anna Goodman Hoover , Assistant Professor of Preventive Medicine and Environmental Health, gave the invited talk “Communication in the Environmental Health Sciences: Why It Matters and How to Do It Well”, to the University of Louisville Superfund Research Center’s faculty, staff, and trainees.

Research and Reports
Maternal and Child Health
Dr. Corrine Williams is lead author of the publication “Previous cesarean delivery associated with subsequent preterm birth in the United States," appearing in the European Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Reproductive Biology. CPH co-authors are research assistants Ibitola Asaolu , Lucy H. Williamson , and Alysha M. Lewis . Faculty co-authors are Dr. Niraj R. Chavan and Dr. Lauren Beaven of the  UK College of Medicine , and Dr. Kristin B. Ashford of the  UK College of Nursing .

Funding for Gerontology Research
The Graduate Center for Gerontology received a grant from the Cliff Todd Endowment of JustFundKY to complete the Kentucky LGBTQ Aging Needs Assessment. The project is led by Aaron Guest , PhD candidate, with faculty advisor Dr. Beth Hunter .
