Spotlight: Tourism Numbers are in - hot and rising

People really #LoveVA! The 2017 Tourism Economic Impact Data is out, and with expenditures reaching $25 billion, the Commonwealth continues to see increased visitation, rising revenues and a strong private employer sector. For more information, click here.
In support of the travelers spending $68M a day in Virginia, we have worked with several programs throughout 2018 to bring those visitors into Augusta County.   We revamped www.visitaugustacounty.com  and continue to support the Shenandoah Beerwerks Trail. #BeerwerksTrail is now celebrating almost 2,000 redeemed passports since a launch in very late 2017! The program is getting ready to select a new t-shirt color, and Beerwerks newsletter readers can help sway the vote. Sign up for the newsletter on Beerwerks website here to make sure you're in on the choice. Of course, as the season turns to fall, we continue to tout Fields of Gold and nothing's hotter than pumpkin picking (unless it's pumpkin spice).

We'll continue to work on marketing Augusta County, both on the tourism side and the economic development side, so keep an eye out for new videos and printed pieces as we grow our marketing toolkit.
