Celebrating fall in Sonoma County
Gorgeous shades of red, orange, and yellow are starting to fill the vineyards, and pumpkin patches are popping up countywide. We're moving into October in Sonoma County, which means an abundance of harvest festivals and celebrations, the final days of winegrape picking and crush, and the spooky fun of Halloween.

There's the 45th Annual Sonoma County Harvest Festival (Oct. 4-5) highlighting fine wine and great food in Santa Rosa, and the Fort Ross  Harvest Festival (Oct. 5) on the coast with Russian music and activities, apple and pear picking, pumpkin carving, and more.

Cornerstone Sonoma hosts a traditional Oktoberfest (Oct. 5) with a beer garden, wine, food, polka music, pumpkins, and activities for the kids. For beer lovers, there's also the Sebastopol Craft Beer Festival (Oct. 12) and the Freshtival (Oct. 12), featuring more than 100 craft beers, each no more than seven days old.

For an unforgettable evening, dine on the Guerneville Bridge, enjoying food prepared by some of Sonoma County's finest chefs, paired with world class Sonoma County wines at the first-ever Feast Above the River (Oct. 6).

Discover life on the farm by visiting farm animals, choosing the perfect pumpkin, picking apples, and shopping at delicious farm stands during
Weekend Along the Farm Trails  (Oct. 12-13). Pumpkin patches will be open countywide all month long; find details at bitly.com/SoCo_pumpkins .

If any of your guests want to visit the Pacific Ocean, tell them it's still possible to enjoy our spectacular coastline, but construction continues along Highway 1 between Bodega Bay and Jenner, so there can be delays in that area. Updates are online at www1.dot.ca.gov/hq/roadinfo/Hourly.

Of course, there's not enough room here to list all the activities and events scheduled in the next two months. A  few highlights are listed below and you can view the complete calendar at  sonomacounty.com/sonoma-events .

Many thanks for the warm welcome you offer to visitors to Sonoma County, and may your harvest time be one of celebration and joy.

Cheers,
Tina Luster
