The Chamber Notebook:
Hope House
|
Beginning in 2004, Hope House has provided shelter for families, couples and women without children in Manitowoc County. Seeing an increasing need in the community, Jane Hamann took an idea and put it to work. Since then, Hope House has grown and has moved to 1000 S. 35th Street. The shelter is able to serve as many as 26 individuals; around five to seven families.
With a mission to empower homeless families and individuals to progress toward self-sufficiency one household at a time, guests are provided with a multitude of services or connected to other resources within the community throughout their stay (up to 90 days). These services include: case management, life skills education, budget management, assistance with completion of GED/HSED, supportive listening, access to public transportation and follow-up meetings.
"The Chamber of Manitowoc County, with its publishing of The Chamber NOTEBOOK, provides space for Chamber members to present information about their business. The publishing of this information is in no way intended as showing preference for that business by The Chamber."
Every Sunday in the Herald Times Reporter, The Chamber of Manitowoc County features members in "The Chamber Notebook" located on the front page of the Business section. This exposure is just another value-added opportunity in your Chamber membership.
