Last summer I had a client who loved to garden but had some health issues arise that limited her mobility. I had suggested raised beds but she wanted more of a farm look to her garden. Naturally my thoughts went to Straw Bale Gardening.
I had seen it in books and magazines and thought I'd give it a try.
Although late in the season, if it went well, I would feel confident in suggesting it to my client. I star
ted my experiment with straw bale gardening in September! I found this to be an easy and fun alternative to in-ground gardening. She would not have to worry about weeding or bend to reach the ground. It would give her that 'farm' look and the ability to harvest delicious vegetables from her garden with ease.
