The market closed 1278 transactions during the month of July, which was a 3.7% increase from July 2017. The rate of increase has slowed a little, but we expect 2018 will be another record year. The national numbers have been flat all year and the rationale given by the analysts is the shortage of inventory, but I think there is more to it than just the shortage of inventory. When you combine rising interest rates with rising prices and add the shortage of inventory it makes sense.
