Photo: Heavy rains this month led to flooding across New Jersey. However, in places like Jersey City, the rains also led to combined sewer overflow events. Jersey Water Works Updates

Talking the Talk: Jon Shure to present on how to communicate on water at the annual Membership Meeting! Do you ever feel like your conversations about water infrastructure don't flow easily? Or that that your chats about sewer lines get clogged up with too much jargon? You're not alone! 4 Days: Combined Sewer Overflow Countdown By Monday, July 1, New Jersey’s CSO permit holders are required to submit to DEP reports on their development and evaluation of alternative solutions for reducing CSOs. Stay tuned for more information about the alternative analysis reports over the course of the next few weeks.

Funding Opportunities Delaware River Watershed Protection Fund Funds available: Up to $450,000 Deadline: July 25 Opportunities for grants and low interest loans to conserve land and integrate water quality science into land use decisions.

Award Opportunities Excellence in Water Resources Management Award - NJ Section American Water Resources Association Deadline: June 19 Up to three projects that exemplify outstanding management of water resources will be recognized. These awards will recognize projects in New Jersey, including those focused on managing groundwater, stormwater, and ecological resources. ‘Management’ includes the assessment, protection, and restoration of aquatic resources, whether at the planning or implementation stage. Projects will exemplify NJ-AWRA’s mission of advancing water resources research, planning, development, management and education. Click here for more information.
