Madrigal Musical Feast Information:
Our choral program is changing, growing, and improving in alignment with the Marinette School District’s commitment to offer a rigorous and standards based curriculum. The madrigal dinner will be changing as well to be more in keeping with this new curriculum to a Madrigal Musical Feast! The Jester will still be with us, as will the court, and of course wassail and maybe even a flaming cake or two. Plan now to attend this new event at 7 PM on Thursday, December 12th. There will be musical offerings both ancient and modern, and a fair amount of frivolity to ensure a merry start to the festive holiday season. You’ll have an opportunity to check out our new risers and choral shell. We’ll also have several guest artists with us. It might even snow!

Important Information from the School Nurse:
Significant Lung Disease Associated with Vaping Products
:
As you may have heard, there is a lot of information circulating about what the CDC is calling an
Outbreak of Lung Injury
connected to vaping. Parental disapproval is one of the easiest ways to prevent children from ever starting. We are encouraging families to talk with their children early about what the risks. Here are some resources that might help kickstart that conversation:
Thank you for helping keep our students safe and healthy!

Message From the Principal

Fall Blessings to Everyone! We are off to a fun and exciting start to the new school year! Fall sports are up and running, with a few of them already near the end of their season. Homecoming week brings lots of school spirit as classes compete in collecting food items, Ironman volleyball, powderpuff football, and pep assembly games. The homecoming game and dance are a fun end to the week!
“As a parent, how can I be involved at the high school level?” is a question that’s often asked by high school parents. Unfortunately, parent engagement at the high school level tapers off as students become more independent as busy young adults involved in sports, clubs, and part-time jobs. Most have their own means of transportation and needing their parents is a thing of the past. Here are a few ways you can still stay engaged as a high school parent:
Talk to your high schooler about their day - ask detailed questions rather than the usual, “How was your day?”
Use Skyward to check on their grades, attendance, and what they had for lunch (if they eat school lunches).
Attend parent-teacher conferences twice a year or schedule a conference with a teacher at anytime.
Attend your child’s functions (sporting events, concerts, performances, etc.)
Become a MHS Booster Club member
Donate at blood drives, food drives, clothing drives, etc.
Check out our web site and like us on Facebook
As always, at MHS we strive to INSPIRE, ENGAGE, and IMPACT the lives of our students and continuously improve. We are open to your ideas and input at any time so please feel free to contact us.
Enjoy the fall colors!
