As of 8:00 tonight (Wednesday), the National Hurricane Center advisory noted that Hurricane Dorian was located 130 miles south of Charleston, was moving north-northwest at 8 miles per hour, and had maximum sustained winds of 110 miles per hour.
The Sheriff has issued a mandatory curfew for Beaufort County, (including Sea Pines) from 10 p.m. until 6 a.m. on Wednesday, September 4 and Thursday, September 5.

The Sheriff's office urges Beaufort County residents and guests who did not evacuate to shelter in place, stay indoors and avoid driving, as conditions are expected to further deteriorate tonight (Wednesday) into tomorrow (Thursday).
Our advance team consisting of Sea Pines Security and CSA Maintenance staff have relocated from Sea Pines to Bluffton, SC and will return to Sea Pines as soon as permitted by emergency officials.
Our security dispatch staff has evacuated to safety, the Sea Pines Security Dispatch line (843-671-7170) is now being forwarded to the Sea Pines CSA Hurricane Hotline (1-866-671-3822), a recorded message will be played and will updated as necessary. For those attempting to contact Sea Pines Security Dispatch after 12:30 PM on 9/4, you should instead contact the Beaufort County Emergency Management by calling 911, to report an emergency.
