HPS Athletics needs you - The sports programs at Hyde Park School are growing exponentially and we need our parent resources to grow along with them! Currently we have a fantastic group of coaches and volunteers who have invested countless hours into our kids, and we will continue to need all of you! For the upcoming 2017-18 school year we'll be searching for additional resources to help manage the volume of students and ensure our kids are getting the best experience possible in their sport.
Parent Coordinators will be led by our incoming 2017-18 HPS Athletic Director, Will Menz. You will also have the support of the coaches and assistant coaches within the sport. You will be trained on how to accomplish each responsibility and at no time will you go in blindly, you'll have full support from all angles.
Basketball & Baseball all have pre-existing systems and deadlines in place. Parent Coordinators will be responsible for setting up online registrations through Blue Sombrero, securing practice space (fields or gym), and help organize rosters. This position can be done along with coaching a sport, or separately by a parent who wants to get involved with athletics but has more time off the field.
Equipment Manager Needed
Equipment Manager- This position will assist the Athletic Director by keeping track of equipment dedicated to our HPS coaches. At the beginning of each sport season the manager will ensure all coach's bags have the necessary equipment. Post season they will help with reordering any equipment that is needed to prep for the following season. This position will have the support of the Athletic Director and work with coaches to ensure equipment is available.
