Level Change Reminder
Level changes may be submitted to the counselors beginning Monday, September 16th.  Level Change Request forms may be downloaded from our website or picked up in the Counselors' Suite. Level Change Request forms must be signed by the student, parent, and teacher to be processed. The last day a level change can be made in a class for the first semester is Friday, October 4th.

September is National Suicide Prevention Awareness Month. The month brings awareness to a topic not often talked about. Learning about the warning signs of suicide and suicide prevention resources during the month of September are great ways to educate yourself and others.

Suicide is a significant public health issue that currently ranks as the 2nd leading cause of death for ages 10-24. Yet, it is important to recognize that suicide is also one of the leading causes of preventable death in the United States.

Some warning signs include talking about wanting to die, feeling hopeless or being a burden to others, planning or looking for a way to kill themselves, withdrawing from family or friends, engaging in risky behaviors, and acting like there's no reason to live.

Crisis lines, grant programs, educational courses, and partnerships with local communities help highlight the warning signs and put people in touch with assistance. If a person is at risk for suicide, it's important to act right away.  Click here to read more and access resources.
