Thank you for helping us reach our goal! Our Donors Choose project will help our students become more independent when accessing technology.

8th grade SPED students with various ability levels with disabilities including autism, learning disabilities, ADHD, emotional disabilities, hearing impairments and intellectual disabilities enter our classroom with a desire to learn.



Hitting the Mark - Donors Choose Project
 
Help me give my students archery equipment for a chance to learn an activity that has never been made available to them.

The thought of being able to teach archery to roughly 250 of my 8th grade students is really exciting!

My 8th graders have played many different types of sports and games, but they have never used a bow and arrow- frankly, we just don't have the budget for the equipment so it's not a unit we've ever been able to do.

The Confidence Club

Rippowam will be entering its 3rd official year participating in one of Fairfield County's most amazing opportunities for young girl's: The Confidence Club (formerly known as LiveGirl). "Confidence Club provides girls with a positive adult role model and creates a safe space for girls to develop self-esteem and social emotional intelligence." 

The group is scheduled to meet in Rippowam's Media Center for an 8 week session on Mondays from 2:15- 3:30 pm running from 10/1- 11/22 (No sessions 9/30 or 10/9).

The first general PTO meeting is scheduled for October 22 at 6pm . This PTO meeting will include an Internet Safety Presentation by Scott Driscoll of Internet Safety Concepts   - Mark your calendars, you do not want to miss it! See flyer below...

We will vote on the budget at the first general PTO meeting. The PTO Board met on 8/26 to review this year's budget. The first event that the PTO is helping to fund is the Internet Safety Presentation on 10/22. You can donate on-line HERE so we can continue to fund important events throughout the year.
