The Polk County's 19th Amendment Commemoration Coalition
The Lake Wales Public Library is joining other Polk County and State of Florida organizations in celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the ratification of the 19th Amendment to the US Constitution providing the right to vote to all women.
We are working with other partners through the 19th Amendment Commemoration Coalition to celebrate this anniversary in August 2020.
Many of our family members were born prior to 1920. We are searching for recollections, memories, photos and stories that can be compiled into an exhibit celebrating the ratification of the 19th Amendment.
We have created a
brief questionnaire
that will assist in gathering input for the Lake Wales Public Library's future exhibit. Please take a moment to answer the three questions.
