REMINDERS
  • School pictures are being distributed during advisory today. Pictures can still be ordered from the proof online mylifetouch.com. For those who ordered pictures and don't like them, retakes will be Oct. 11. If your student was absent on the original picture day, they can take one during retakes Oct. 11.
  • Free tutoring with transportation through Potter's House will be offered for Woodland students every Tuesday from 3:40-4:30. Multiple tutors will be on hand to help in all subject areas, and snacks will be provided. While tutoring is available to all, please note that transportation home will be limited to the first 10 students that sign up. Please contact Andrew Glade at [email protected] or at 479-445-1286.

Potter's House Tutoring Forms

  • Save the date! Woodland will hold its Jersey Night Dance Fri., Oct. 11 from 7-9 p.m. in the Woodland cafeteria. There will be music, games, dancing, food, and fun! Admission is $5 at the door.
  • Fall picture retakes and club pictures will be Fri., Oct. 11.
  • Parents/guardians of 8th grade students: AR Children's Hospital sponsors a Project Prevent program so students in grades 8-12 can make a 30-second video about being tobacco free. Videos must be submitted by Dec. 15. for more info, go to www.healthy.arkansas.gov and type Project Prevent in the search box.
  • The Elks Club is sponsoring a drug awareness essay contest. This year's theme is "Life does not rewind, choose life not drugs." The contest is  open to all 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students, and the deadline to submit entries is Nov. 30. Please see the link below for more info and entry form.

Health Fair Volunteers Needed

Volunteers are needed to assist with the 8th grade health fair Thurs., Oct. 3. The health fair consists of vision, hearing, scoliosis, and BMI screenings. 

It will begin at approximately 9:30 a.m. and end close to 3:30 p.m. Volunteers will help with measuring height, weight, color vision screening, and crowd control. You can sign up for a shift at the link below.
