The 66th Annual Union County Christmas Parade is coming to town!

Held on Sunday, November 24th in historic Downtown Monroe, at 2:00 pm, the streets will be filled with the sounds of Christmas from the bands, people wishing you a Merry Christmas and the fun and excitement of the pageantry awaiting around the corner for everyone!

Welcome New Board Members
        

Alliance for Children welcomed new board member Lauren Williams and UCPS designee, Dr. Cynthia Hogston to the first 2019-2020 board meeting of the year on September 25th.  They were given a brief overview of the programs that we provide to children in areas of health, education and family support.





For the month of October, each time a $2.50 reusable Community Bag is purchased at the Bi-lo located at 1642 Dickerson Blvd. Monroe, NC , $1 will be donated to Alliance for Children.

The Community Bag  empowers customers to make a difference in the communities they live and work in while helping the environment. With each purchase of a reusable Community Bag with the Giving Tag, customers can direct a $1 donation to the non-profit of their choice to benefit the work a local charity is doing in their community. The specially designed reusable bags are from recycled materials, and can be found at registers and on the reusable bag rack at all BI-LO




PetSmart of Monroe Partners with AFC


We are so excited that PetSmart® of Monroe has selected Alliance for Children as the recipient of their  Holiday Philanthropic Collection of stuffed toys  for 2019. 
Starting soon shoppers can choose from a variety of adorable animals, and for every in-store purchase of a plush toy that you donate, PetSmart will deliver the animal to Alliance for Children. The animals will be used as 'Reading Buddies' to promote literacy with the Dolly Parton Imagination Library and numerous other programs throughout the year.
